The General Council focuses on the big-picture, long-term vision, strategy and budgets of the Association. “Consisting of the Immediate Past President and 14 directly elected members, and chaired by the President, the General Council is a representation of the EAIE membership and ensures that the Association operates according to the best interests of its members. Congratulations to the following individuals who have been elected for the 2018–2020 term on the General Council.”

“The main role of the General Council is to support the organisation’s vision, mission and values. The General Council adopts a strategic plan for the Association and revises it every two years. General Council members are responsible for making certain that the budget adequately reflects the organisation’s programme priorities, ensuring the longevity of the Association and that it continually seeks to be at the forefront of developments in the field. Serving on the General Council offers an opportunity to participate at the highest level of the Association, making a significant impact on both the direction of the Association and the internationalisation of higher education, with only a moderate time commitment. General Council members must be prepared to attend and actively participate in all scheduled General Council meetings (two to three per year).”
